Gene Driscoll Memorial Scholarship

Each year as part of our mission, Summerfield Peace United Methodist Church, selects worthy students to receive a scholarship of $500 – $1,000 for use in continuing their education.

Students who reside in the Summerfield area, and are graduating from a high school that serves the Summerfield area, are eligible to be considered for this scholarship. Students who are awarded the scholarship as graduating high school seniors may also apply to receive the scholarship in subsequent years, until they have completed their higher education.

The scholarship will be granted on the basis of financial need, academic qualifications, community and extracurricular activities and personal recommendations.

Interested students should submit the completed application, required letters of recommendation, and a copy of a current school transcript to:

Applications will remain confidential. The Summerfield Peace UMC Scholarship committee will notify successful applicants by mail or at their high school awards presentation. We will also advise your high school counselor’s office of any scholarship awards.
